Effects of Overexposure:

INHALATION: Inhalation of low concentrations may cause mild irritation of nose and throat. Widespread and prolonged exposure may result in absorption of harmful amounts, particularly in infants.

INGESTION: May cause drowsiness and loss of consciousness. Stomach cramps, pain, vomiting and diarrhea may also occur.

SKIN CONTACT: Prolonged exposure will cause redness, drying and irritation.

EYE CONTACT: Avoid contact with eyes. Irritant.

Emergency and First Aid Procedures:

INHALATION: Remove person to fresh air. If breathing has stopped, perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation. Have oxygen available for administration by a trained person if breathing is difficult. Obtain medical assistance.

 

INGESTION: Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Do not induce vomiting if patient is unconscious or extremely drowsy. Otherwise administer 2 glasses of water and induce vomiting. Obtain immediate medical attention even if symptoms improve.

SKIN CONTACT: Flood area with water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothing and clean shoes thoroughly before reuse. If symptoms persist, obtain medical assistance.

EYE CONTACT: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while holding lids gently, but firmly, apart. Lift upper and lower lids occasionally to ensure thorough flushing under them. If symptoms persist, obtain medical assistance.

Medical Conditions Aggravated by Exposure: Impaired kidney and liver function may be aggravated by exposure to alcohols. Preexisting eye, skin, and respiratory conditions may also be aggravated.
